So how are we going to practice?
Inside this course, we’ll use two powerful exercises:
Shadowing exercises
The shadowing exercise is a listening and pronunciation exercise where you will only focus on your accent and articulation. Sharpen your listening and pronunciation skills by repeating each sentence one after the other.
Role-play
Then it’s time to practice with a role-play exercise. Practice the sentences that you’ve learned and improve your real-time conversation skills.

Watch the Complete Dialogue
Start by watching the entire dialogue performed by the actor. Try to follow along with the subtitles.

Repeat at a Slower Pace
Carefully listen and repeat each line slowly, focusing on clear articulation and pronunciation. If you're more advanced, you might choose to skip this step.

Repeat at Normal Speed
Now, repeat each line at its normal, real-life speed. Pay attention, as words may blend or contract. Aim to match the actor’s intonation. Continue practising until you can keep pace with the actor.

Take on Character Number One
Dive in! You'll read lines for character #1, responding to character #2. Stay relaxed and enjoy yourself; remember, you've prepared for this. Bonus : Challenge yourself. Memorize the lines and then do the exercise with your eyes closed.

Switch to Character Number Two
Now, switch roles. If you were previously the customer, this time you'll be the baker. While you might never work as a baker in France, understanding common phrases they use is still beneficial. Repeat the exercise until it feels effortless!
